Mutual funds in selling mode

Net sales of Rs 444.10 crore on 29 May 2015

Mutual funds sold shares worth Rs 444.10 crore during previous trading session on 29 May 2015, compared with their net inflow of Rs 790.40 crore on 28 May 2015. 

The net outflow of Rs 444.10 crore on 29 May 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2168.90 crore and gross sales of Rs 2613 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had garnered 321.73 points or 1.17% to settle at 27,828.44 on that day, its highest closing level since 22 May 2015. 

Mutual funds have purchased shares worth a net Rs 4176.70 crore in May 2015. They had bought shares worth a net Rs 9243.90 crore last month.
