Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold shares worth a net Rs 584.74 crore yesterday, 11 June 2015, higher than net sales of Rs 487.60 crore during the preceding trading session on 10 June 2015.
The net outflow of Rs 584.74 crore on 11 June 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3747.10 crore and gross sales of Rs 4331.84 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 584.83 crore from the secondary equity market on 11 June 2015 which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3747.01 crore and gross sales of Rs 4331.84 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had lost 469.52 points or 1.75% to settle at 26,370.98 on that day, its lowest closing level since 17 October 2014.
