Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold shares worth a net Rs 487.60 crore yesterday, 10 June 2015, compared with net sales of Rs 678.90 crore during the preceding trading session on 9 June 2015.
The net outflow of Rs 487.60 crore on 10 June 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3322.63 crore and gross sales of Rs 3810.23 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 427.28 crore from the secondary equity market on 10 June 2015 which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3321.81 crore and gross sales of Rs 3749.09 crore. The Sensex had garnered 359.25 points or 1.36% to settle at 26,840.50 on that day, its highest closing level since 2 June 2015.
There was a net outflow of Rs 60.32 crore from the category 'primary market & others' on 10 June 2015, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 0.82 crore and gross sales of Rs 61.14 crore.
FPIs sold shares worth a net Rs 725.70 crore in June month so far (till 10 June 2015).
