Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 534.23 crore on Friday, 12 June 2015, compared with net sales of Rs 584.74 crore during the preceding trading session on 11 June 2015.
The net inflow of Rs 534.23 crore on 12 June 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4309.87 crore and gross sales of Rs 3775.64 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 672.83 crore from the secondary equity market on 12 June 2015 which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3102.56 crore and gross sales of Rs 3775.39 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex rose 54.32 points or 0.21% to settle at 26,425.30, its highest closing level since 10 June 2015.
There was an inflow of Rs 1207.06 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 12 June 2015.
