Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold shares worth a net Rs 490.92 crore yesterday, 16 June 2015, lower than net sales of Rs 585.85 crore during the preceding trading session on 15 June 2015.
The net outflow of Rs 490.92 crore on 16 June 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3528.14 crore and gross sales of Rs 4019.06 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 491.84 crore from the secondary equity market on 16 June 2015 which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3527.17 crore and gross sales of Rs 4019.01 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex rose 99.96 points or 0.38% to settle at 26,686.51 on that day, its highest closing level since 10 June 2015.
There was an inflow of Rs 0.92 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 16 June 2015.
