Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought stocks worth a net Rs 602.51 crore yesterday, 4 June 2015, as against their sales of Rs 717.25 crore during the preceding trading session on 3 June 2015.
The net inflow of Rs 602.51 crore on 4 June 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5043.47 crore and gross sales of Rs 4440.96 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 538.44 crore into the secondary equity market on 4 June 2015 which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4976.32 crore and gross sales of Rs 4437.88 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex fell 23.78 points or 0.09% to settle at 26,813.42, its lowest closing level since 7 May 2015.
There was a net inflow of Rs 64.07 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 4 June 2015 with gross purchases of Rs 67.15 crore and gross sales of Rs 3.08 crore.
FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 1655.78 crore in June month so far (till 4 June 2015). They purchased shares worth a net Rs 1559.20 crore from the secondary equity markets crore in June month so far (till 4 June 2015). FPIs sold shares worth a net Rs 5768.48 crore in May 2015. They offloaded shares worth a net Rs 9149.27 crore into the secondary equity markets in May 2015.
