Purchases worth Rs 460 crore on 23 April 2009
Mutual funds (MFs) bought shares worth a net Rs 460 crore on Thursday, 23 April 2009, as against an outflow of Rs 191.30 crore on Tuesday, 21 April 2009.
MFs' net inflow of Rs 460 crore on 23 April 2009 was a result of gross purchases Rs 823.60 crore and gross sales Rs 363.60 crore. The BSE Sensex surged 317.45 points or 2.93% to 11,134.99 on that day.
MFs were net buyer of shares worth Rs 210.50 crore in this month, till 23 April 2009.
