Inflow of Rs 484.10 crore on 8 April 2009
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 484.10 crore on Wednesday, 8 April 2009, higher than Rs 172.30 crore on Monday, 6 April 2009.
FII inflow of Rs 484.10 crore on 8 April 2009 was a result of gross purchases Rs 3796.90 crore and gross sales Rs 3312.80 crore. The BSE Sensex gained 207.47 points or 1.97% to 10,742.34 on that day.
FII inflow in April 2009 totaled Rs 1,587.50 crore (till 8 April 2009). FII outflow in calendar year 2009 totaled Rs 5,084.20 crore (till 8 April 2009).
There are a total of 1638 foreign funds registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India (Sebi).
