Inflow of Rs 172.30 crore on 6 April 2009
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 172.30 crore on Monday, 6 April 2009, much lower than Rs 696.30 crore on Thursday, 2 April 2009.
FII inflow of Rs 172.30 crore on 6 April 2009 was a result of gross purchases Rs 2619.80 crore and gross sales Rs 2447.50 crore. The BSE Sensex gained 186.04 points, or 1.8%, to 10,534.87 on that day.
FII inflow in April 2009 totaled Rs 1,103.40 crore (till 6 April 2009). FII outflow in calendar year 2009 totaled Rs 5,568.30 crore (till 6 April 2009).
There are a total of 1638 foreign funds registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India (Sebi).
