Around 7 killed, 36 injured in twin blasts

In Dhekiajuli and Guwahati districts of Assam

Another blast hit Assam today, 6 April 2009 afternoon in Dhekiajuli in Sonitpur district, Assam just hours after a powerful bomb exploded at a crowded market in Guwahati

Six people were reportedly injured in the Dhekiajuli blast. According to reports, the bomb was planted in a cycle.

Earlier, at least seven people were killed and 30 wounded, when the blast occurred in Guwahati.

I ask from people that are we safe anywhere. What are security officials doing? It seems no one is performing their duty well. Election's are going on but even then safety no where. My condolences are with the deceased & their families.

No government is good enough to curtail terror. Why our intelligence system is so weak?

Our safety is in ours hand's too. We should take ample care & all should keep their eyes open to any strange activity & objects.
