Mutual funds bought shares worth a net Rs 109.50 crore during previous trading session 1 April 2015, compared with inflow of Rs 635.30 crore during the preceding trading session on 31 March 2015. The stock market was closed on 2 April and 3 April 2015 on account of holidays.
The net inflow of Rs 109.50 crore on 1 April 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 813.20 crore and gross sales of Rs 703.70 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had advanced 302.65 points or 1.08% to settle at 28,260.14 on that day, its highest closing level since 20 March 2015.
Mutual funds had bought shares worth Rs 3940.30 crore in March 2015.
