Mutual funds bought shares worth a net Rs 257.20 crore during the previous trading session on Friday, 24 April 2015, which was lower than their purchases of Rs 370.30 crore during the preceding trading session on 23 April 2015.
The net inflow of Rs 257.20 crore on 24 April 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 1266.10 crore and gross sales of Rs 1008.90 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had lost 297.08 points or 1.07% to settle at 27,437.94 on that day, its lowest closing level since 14 January 2015.
Mutual funds have purchased shares worth a net Rs 4213.60 crore in this month so far (till 24 April 2015). They had bought shares worth a net Rs 3940.30 crore last month.
