Mutual funds continue buying of equities

Net purchases of Rs 521.20 crore on 22 April 2015

Mutual funds bought shares worth Rs 521.20 crore yesterday, 22 April 2015, which was lower than their purchases of Rs 2136.10 crore during the preceding trading session on 21 April 2015. 

The net inflow of Rs 521.20 crore on 22 April 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 1312 crore and gross sales of Rs 790.80 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had risen 214.09 points or 0.77% to settle at 27,890.13 on that day, its highest closing level since 17 April 2015. 

Mutual funds have purchased shares worth a net Rs 3586.10 crore in this month so far (till 22 April 2015). They had bought shares worth a net Rs 3940.30 crore last month.
