Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 604.92 crore on Tuesday, 11 November 2014, higher than net inflow of Rs 381.61 crore on Monday, 10 November 2014.
The net inflow of Rs 604.92 crore on 11 November 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4599.77 crore and gross sales of Rs 3994.85 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 454.52 crore into the secondary equity market on 11 November 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4449.37 crore and gross sales of Rs 3994.85 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex rose 35.33 points or 0.13% to settle at 27,910.06, its highest closing level since 5 November 2014.
There was a net inflow of Rs 150.40 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 11 November 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 150.40 and nil gross sales.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 8374.10 crore in November 2014 so far (till 11 November 2014).
