Bond yields rises

10-year G-sec Paper yield increases to 8.19% 

The yield on 10-year benchmark federal paper, 8.40% GS 2024, moved up 03 basis points to 8.19% at 11.21 IST, compared to 8.16% at close in the previous trading session. 

The total trading volume on the central bank's gilts trading platform stood at Rs 15580 crore. 

Bond yields increased on profit booking, after key economic data on CPI inflation and industrial production came in line with expectations. Now, the traders await data on WPI inflation scheduled to be released on Friday, 14 November. 

The weighted average rate in the overnight call money rose to 8.06% at 11.22 IST compared to 7.94% in the previous session. The call money rate was hovering in the range of 7.9% to 8.2% with the volume at Rs 3887.2 crore.
