Inflow of Rs 493.80 crore on 12 May 2009
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 493.80 crore on Tuesday, 12 May 2009. They are net buyers in all the eight sessions in this month so far.
FII inflow of Rs 493.80 crore on 12 May 2009 was a result of gross purchases Rs 2542.50 crore and gross sales Rs 2048.70 crore. The BSE 30-share Sensex jumped 475.04 points or 4.07% to 12,158.03, on that day
FII inflow in May 2009 totaled Rs 5530.90 crore (till 12 May 2009) while their inflow in calendar year 2009 totaled Rs 5887.50 crore.
There are a total of 1650 foreign funds registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India (Sebi).
