Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 239.29 crore yesterday, 9 April 2015, compared with their outflow of Rs 266.95 crore during the preceding trading session on 8 April 2015.
The net inflow of Rs 239.29 crore on 9 April 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5593.06 crore and gross sales of Rs 5353.77 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 294.52 crore into the secondary equity market on 9 April 2015, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5593.06 crore and gross sales of Rs 5298.54 crore. On that day, the S&P BSE Sensex had risen 177.46 points or 0.62% to settle at 28,885.21.
There was an outflow of Rs 55.23 crore from the category 'primary market & others' on 9 April 2015.
