Inflow of Rs 401.90 crore on 2 July 2009
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 401.90 crore on Thursday, 2 July 2009, much higher than 163.70 crore on Wednesday, 1 July 2009.
FII inflow of Rs 401.90 crore on 2 July 2009 was a result of gross purchases Rs 2,302.70 crore and gross sales Rs 1,900.80 crore. The BSE Sensex rose 13.02 points or 0.09% to 14,658.49 on that day.
FII inflow in calendar year 2009 totaled Rs 25,109.90 crore (till 2 July 2009).
There are a total of 1672 foreign funds registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India (Sebi).
