Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund has announced the declaration of dividend under dividend option of Templeton India Equity Income Fund (TIEIF). The record date for dividend has been fixed as 26 August 2009.
The quantum of dividend is Rs 0.70 i.e. 7.00% on the record date on face value of Rs 10 per unit.
There will be one-day book closure in the growth and dividend plans of the scheme on 27 August 2009 and hence no purchases or redemptions in the scheme on that day. The investors in the divided re-investment option will be allotted units for the dividend amount at the NAV of next business day after the book closure date.
Templeton India Equity Income Fund is an open-end diversified equity fund, which has the investment objective to provide a combination of regular income and long-term capital appreciation by investing primarily in stocks that have a current or potentially attractive dividend yield.
