Mutual funds turn net sellers

Net outflow of Rs 14.50 crore on 15 September 2014

Mutual funds sold shares worth a net Rs 14.50 crore on Monday, 15 September 2014, compared with inflow of Rs 212.70 crore on Friday, 12 September 2014. 

The net outflow of Rs 14.50 crore on 15 September 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 797.50 crore and gross sales of Rs 812 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex declined 244.48 points or 0.9% to settle at 26,816.56, its lowest closing level since 28 August 2014 on that day. 

Mutual funds have sold shares worth a net Rs 310.50 crore in this month so far (till 15 September 2014). Mutual funds bought stocks worth Rs 6957.40 crore last month.
