Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold shares worth net Rs 689.07 crore on Wednesday, 24 September 2014, compared with outflow of Rs 954.39 crore on Tuesday, 23 September 2014.
The net outflow of Rs 689.07 crore on 24 September 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3547.08 crore and gross sales of Rs 4236.15 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 689.08 crore from the secondary equity market on 24 September 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3547.07 crore and gross sales of Rs 4236.15 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had lost 31 points or 0.12% to settle at 26,744.69 on that day, its lowest closing level since 17 September 2014.
There was an inflow of Rs 0.01 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 24 September 2014.
