Mutual funds continue buying

Net inflow of Rs 178.90 crore on 23 September 2014

Mutual funds bought shares worth a net Rs 178.90 crore on Tuesday, 23 September 2014, compared with inflow of Rs 140.70 crore on Monday, 22 September 2014. 

The net inflow of Rs 178.90 crore on 23 September 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 1223.50 crore and gross sales of Rs 1044.70 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had tumbled 431.05 points or 1.58% to settle at 26,775.69 on that day, its lowest closing level since 17 September 2014. 

Mutual funds have bought shares worth a net Rs 1244.90 crore in this month so far (till 23 September 2014). Mutual funds bought stocks worth Rs 6957.40 crore last month.
