Mutual funds extend selling

Net outflow of Rs 28.30 crore on 11 September 2014

Mutual funds sold shares worth a net Rs 28.30 crore on Thursday, 11 September 2014, compared with outflow of Rs 145.40 crore on Wednesday, 10 September 2014. 

The net outflow of Rs 28.30 crore on 11 September 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 859.20 crore and gross sales of Rs 887.50 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex fell 61.54 points or 0.23% to settle at 26,995.87 on that day, its lowest closing level since 1 September 2014. 

Mutual funds have sold shares worth a net Rs 508.69 crore in this month so far (till 11 September 2014). Mutual funds bought stocks worth Rs 6957.40 crore last month.
