The net inflow of Rs 15.60 crore on Tuesday, 20 May 2014, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 7060.40 crore and gross sales of Rs 7044.80 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 35.70 crore from the secondary equity market on Tuesday, 20 May 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 7007.60 crore and gross sales of Rs 7043.40 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex garnered 13.83 points or 0.06% to settle at 24,376.88 on that day, a record closing high for the index.
