Mutual funds sell stocks in 4 out of 7 days this month

Sales of Rs 473.49 crore till 9 July 2009

Mutual funds (MFs) bought shares worth a net Rs 257.20 crore on Thursday, 9 July 2009, compared to sales of Rs 274.80 crore on Wednesday, 8 July 2009. The net inflow of Rs 257.20 crore on 9 July 2009 was a result of gross purchases Rs 746.70 crore and gross sales Rs 489.50 crore.

MFs have been buyers and sellers on alternate occasions so far this month, with net sales in four out of seven trading sessions. On a cumulative, MFs sold shares worth a net Rs 473.49 crore in the month of July 2009, till 9 July 2009.
