Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 19.38 crore on combined basis during the preceding two trading sessions on Monday, 17 August 2015, and Tuesday, 18 August 2015, as per data from National Securities Depository (NSDL). The combined data for the preceding two trading session was released by the depositories today, 19 August 2015, as their offices were closed yesterday, 18 August 2015, due to a bank holiday. The depositories release the data on the investment activity of FPIs after trading hours every day with a time lag of one trading session. There was a net inflow of Rs 21.62 crore into the secondary equity markets on combined basis during the preceding two trading sessions on 17-18 August 2015.
There was a net outflow of Rs 2.24 crore from the category 'primary markets & others' on combined basis during the preceding two trading sessions on 17-18 August 2015.
