Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 69.05 crore yesterday, 10 August 2015, as against net inflow of Rs 119.97 crore during previous trading session on Friday, 7 August 2015.
There was a net inflow of Rs 69.05 crore into the equity market on 10 August 2015, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3574.83 crore and gross sales of Rs 3505.78 crore.
There was a net inflow of Rs 67.03 crore into the secondary equity market on 10 August 2015, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3572.47 crore and gross sales of Rs 3505.44 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had lost 134.67 points or 0.48% to settle at 28,101.72 on that day, its lowest closing level since 4 August 2015.
There was a net inflow of Rs 2.02 crore into the category 'primary markets & others' on 10 August 2015, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2.36 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.34 crore.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 1741.36 crore in August 2015 so far (till 10 August 2015). They have bought shares worth a net Rs 1621.55 crore from the secondary equity markets in August 2015 so far (till 10 August 2015). FPIs had bought shares worth a net Rs 5318.99 crore last month.
