Mutual funds continue buying

Net inflow of Rs 168.70 crore on 16 March 2015

Mutual funds bought shares worth a net Rs 168.70 crore on Monday, 16 March 2015, lower than inflow of Rs 230.80 crore during the preceding trading session on 13 March 2015. 

The net inflow of Rs 168.70 crore on 16 March 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 859.30 crore and gross sales of Rs 690.70 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex dropped 65.59 points or 0.23% to settle at 28,437.71, its lowest closing level since 10 February 2015. 

Mutual funds have bought shares worth a net Rs 2516.10 crore in this month so far (till 16 March 2015). They had bought shares worth Rs 4309.20 crore last month.
