Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 381.61 crore on Monday, 10 November 2014, lower than net inflow of Rs 2975.64 crore on Friday, 7 November 2014.
The net inflow of Rs 381.61 crore on 10 November 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4344.26 crore and gross sales of Rs 3962.65 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 371.70 crore into the secondary equity market on 10 November 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4334.35 crore and gross sales of Rs 3962.65 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex rose 6.10 points or 0.02% to settle at 27,874.73, its highest closing level since 5 November 2014.
There was a net inflow of Rs 9.91 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 10 November 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 9.91 and nil gross sales.
