Mutual funds turn sellers

Net outflow of Rs 15.40 crore on 12 October 2015

Mutual funds sold shares worth a net Rs 15.40 crore on Monday, 12 October 2015, as compared with net inflow of Rs 135.80 crore on 9 October 2015. 

The net outflow of Rs 15.40 crore on 12 October 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 699.30 crore and gross sales of Rs 714.70 crore. The Sensex dropped 175.40 points or 0.65% to settle at 26,904.11 on that day, its lowest closing level since 8 October 2015. 

Mutual funds have purchased shares worth a net Rs 727.59 crore in this month so far (till 12 October 2015). They had bought shares worth a net Rs 9320.20 crore in September 2015.
