Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) offloaded shares worth a net Rs 251.12 crore yesterday, 9 July 2015, compared with outflow of Rs 338.27 crore during the preceding trading session on 8 July 2015.
The net outflow of Rs 251.12 crore on 9 July 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3733.77 crore and gross sales of Rs 3984.89 crore. There was net outflow of Rs 173.01 crore from the secondary equity markets on 9 July 2015, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3723.77 crore and gross sales of Rs 3896.78 crore.
There was a net outflow of Rs 78.11 crore from the category 'primary market & others' on 9 July 2015, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 10 crore and gross sales of Rs 88.11 crore.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 3167.70 crore in this month so far (till 9 July 2015). They have bought shares worth a net Rs 375.13 crore from the secondary equity markets in this month so far (till 9 July 2015). FPIs sold shares worth a net Rs 3344.44 crore last month. They had sold shares worth a net Rs 4634.53 crore into the secondary equity markets last month.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 42248.33 crore in calendar year 2015 so far (till 9 July 2015). They have bought shares worth a net Rs 26721.09 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2015 so far (till 9 July 2015). FPIs had bought shares worth a net Rs 97055.90 crore in the calendar year 2014. They had bought shares worth a net Rs 84440.80 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2014.
