Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold shares worth a net Rs 41.16 crore on Friday, 6 February 2015, compared with inflow of Rs 170.65 crore during the preceding trading session on 5 February 2015.
The net outflow of Rs 41.16 crore on 6 February 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4152.72 crore and gross sales of Rs 4193.88 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 71.74 crore from the secondary equity market on 6 February 2015, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4121.54 crore and gross sales of Rs 4193.28 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex shed 133.06 points or 0.46% to settle at 28,717.91, its lowest closing level since 19 January 2015.
There was a net inflow of Rs 30.58 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 6 February 2015, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 31.18 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.60 crore.
