Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 397.95 crore on Monday, 1 December 2014, compared with inflow of Rs 2455.67 crore on Friday, 28 November 2014.
The net inflow of Rs 397.95 crore on 1 November 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4681.46 crore and gross sales of Rs 4283.51 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 58.12 crore into the secondary equity market on 1 December 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4341.63 crore and gross sales of Rs 4283.51 crore. The Sensex had fell 134.37 points or 0.47% to settle at 28,559.62 on that day, its lowest closing level since 27 November 2014.
There was an inflow of Rs 339.83 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 1 December 2014.
