Mutual fund industry has increased its Average Asset Under management (AUM) in April 2009 from March 2009. Association of Mutual Fund of India (AMFI) has released AUM data for April 2009. Till now the data is available for 19 fund houses. The AUM of these fund houses has increased by 15.04% to Rs 1.11 lakh crore in April 2009 compared with Rs 97273.24 crore in March 2009.
Baroda Pioneer Mutual Fund has topped among others by recording AUM growth of 66.25% to Rs 1882.01 crore in April 2009. DBS Chola Mutual Fund followed it by posting a rise of 57.44% in its AUM.
As per asset wise, SBI Mutual Fund recorded its assets to Rs 30875.02 crore in its AUM in April 2009 compared with the month of March 2009. Its AUM has soared by 17.03% in April 2009 over March 2009. DSP BlackRock MF posted its average AUM of Rs 15945.02 crore a rise of 10.63% compared with March 2009 and Deutsche Mutual Fund with an AUM of Rs 11110.79 crore with a rise of 18.77% in April 2009 over March 2009.
Among other mutual funds, HSBC Mutual Fund MF recorded a fall of 2.65% to Rs 9321.28 crore in April 2009. Fidelity MF rose 18.14% to Rs 7292.88 crore and Religare MF has recorded a rise of 20.77% in its AUM to Rs 7273.99 crore in April 2009.
As per data available of 19 fund houses, SBI Mutual Fund recorded the highest inflow in AUM of Rs 4492.33 crore, while HSBC Mutual Fund recorded the highest outflow of Rs 253.91 crore in April 2009.
Reliance, ICICI Prudential, HDFC, UTI, Birla Sun Life MF and others has not yet displayed their AUM data.
