Evening Bells: Bond yield close steady

10-year G-sec Paper yield closes at 8.84% 

The yield on 10-year benchmark federal paper, 8.83% GS 2023, closed steady at 8.84% same as the close in the previous trading session. 

The total trading volume on central bank's gilts trading platform stood Rs 23190 crore. 

Bond yield closed steady as fall in Rupee and stock market offset improved cash conditions in the country's banking system on the back of month-end government spending. 

The weighted average rate in the overnight call money decreased to 7.52% compared to 8.21% in previous session. The call money rate hovered in the range of 6.60% to 8.20% with the volume of Rs 12968.43 crore.
