Inflow of Rs 217.50 crore

Foreign institutional
investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 217.50 crore on Monday, 15
February 2010, lower than
Rs 350.90 crore on Thursday, 11 February 2010.
FII inflow of Rs 217.50 crore on 15 February
2010 was a result of gross purchases Rs 1628.60 crore and
gross sales Rs 1411.10 crore. There was an inflow of Rs 228.40 crore into
secondary equity markets which
was a result of gross purchases Rs 1613.60 crore and gross sales Rs 1385.20
crore. The BSE Sensex fell 114.24 points or 0.71% to 16038.35 on that day.
There was an outflow of Rs 10.90 crore in
the category 'primary market & others', which was a result of gross
purchases Rs 15 crore and gross sales Rs 25.90 crore.
FII outflow in February 2010 totaled Rs
1684.10 crore (till 15 February 2010). FII had sold equities worth Rs 302.70 crore in
January 2010. FII outflow in the calendar year 2010 totaled Rs 2184.50 crore
(till 15 February 2010).
There are a total of 1,704 foreign funds
registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India (Sebi).
