Sebi issues new portfolio format for debt oriented close-ended and interval schemes/plans

To be made available on every 3rd working day of succeeding month

Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has issued a circular stating a new format to AMCs for disclosing the portfolio of debt oriented close-ended and interval schemes/plans on a monthly basis on their respective websites in order to enhance the transparency of portfolio. The new disclosure of the portfolio as on the last day of the month shall be made on or before 3rd working day of succeeding month. For example, portfolio as of 31 March 2009 shall be disclosed by 4 April 20093 April 2009 being a non working day.

This circular is issued under Section 11 (1) of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992, read with the provisions of Regulation 77 of the SEBI (Mutual Funds) Regulations, 1996, to protect the interests of investors in securities and to promote the development of, and to regulate the securities market.
