Mutual funds in selling mode
Mutual funds (MFs) sold shares worth a net Rs 45 crore on Thursday, 19 March 2009, as against an inflow of Rs 265.90 crore on Wednesday, 18 March 2009.
MFs' net outflow of Rs 45 crore on 19 March 2009 was a result of gross purchases Rs 352.40 crore and gross sales Rs 397.40 crore. The BSE Sensex rose 25.07 points, or 0.28%, to 9,001.75 on that day.
MFs were net buyer of shares worth Rs 316.60 crore in this month, till 19 March 2009.
