Mutual funds continue selling

Net outflow of Rs 93.10 crore on 4 July 2014

Mutual funds sold shares worth a net Rs 93.10 crore on Friday, 4 July 2014, compared with outflow of Rs 218.90 crore on Thursday, 3 July 2014. 

The net outflow of Rs 93.10 crore on 4 July 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 645.80 crore and gross sales of Rs 738.90 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had garnered 138.31 points or 0.54% to settle at 25,962.06 on that day, a record closing high for the index. 

Mutual funds have sold shares worth a net Rs 462.20 crore in this month so far (till 4 July 2014). Mutual funds bought shares worth a net Rs 3339.60 crore last month.
