Mutual funds continue buying

Net inflow of Rs 389.30 crore on 16 July 2014

Mutual funds bought shares worth a net Rs 389.30 crore on Wednesday, 16 July 2014, compared with net inflow of Rs 597.40 crore on Tuesday, 15 July 2014. 

The net inflow of Rs 389.30 crore on 16 July 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 1045.30 crore and gross sales of Rs 656 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had garnered 321.07 points or 1.27% to settle at 25,549.72 on that day, its highest closing level since 8 July 2014. 

Mutual funds have bought shares worth a net Rs 1425.70 crore in this month so far (till 16 July 2014). Mutual funds bought shares worth a net Rs 3339.60 crore last month.
