Rupee drops

At 59.01/02 per dollar 

Rupee opened lower at 59.01/02 per dollar on Tuesday (27 May 2014), compared to its previous close of 58.71/72 per dollar due to slump in the domestic share market with some short-covering in the dollar continuing.
