Plans to launch open ended income scheme
Name of Fund: Edelweiss Income Plus Fund
Type of Scheme: It is an open ended Income scheme
Investment Objective: To generate high returns consistent with moderate levels of risk and liquidity through a portfolio constituted of debt instruments, securitized debt, government securities, equity & equity related instruments and money market instruments. Returns may be complemented by capital appreciation of the portfolio through trading in liquid G-Sec/debt and equity & equity related instruments.
Investment Options: The Scheme will have a Single Plan with Dividend and Growth Option. Dividend option shall have Reinvestment, Payout & Sweep Facility. If dividend under payout option is less than or equal to Rs 100 then it will be by default reinvested under the monthly reinvestment facility.
Asset Allocation: Under normal circumstances the scheme will invests upto 65%-100% in the debt and money market instruments including cash and cash equivalents. It may invest upto 35% in the government securities and upto 20% in equity and equity related instruments.
The investment in securitised papers including pass through certificates (PTCs) may be made upto 50% of the net assets of the scheme. The scheme can also take derivative exposure upto 100% of the net assets of the scheme, by investing upto 80% in debt derivative instrument and 20%in equity derivative instruments.
The scheme may engage in stock lending. Not more than 25% of the net assets of the scheme can generally be deployed in stock lending and not more than 5% of the net assets of the scheme will be deployed in stock lending to any single counterparty. The scheme may invest in foreign securities upto 50% of the permissible investments of the net assets of the scheme.
NFO price: Rs 10 per unit
Entry Load: Nil.
Exit Load: The scheme will charge an exit load of 0.50% if redeemed within six months.
Minimum Investment Amount: The minimum investment amount is Rs 5,000 and in multiples of Re 1 thereafter.
Minimum Targeted amount: The fund seeks to collect a minimum subscription amount of Rs 10 lakh.
