DBS Chola Mutual Fund has commences initial offer period of DBS Chola Tax Advantage Fund � Series I from 19 December 2008 till 19 March 2009. The Fund is a close ended equity linked saving scheme.
Features of the Fund
Investment Objective: The investment objective of the Scheme is to seek to generate long-term capital growth from a diversified portfolio of predominantly equity and equity-related securities and also enabling investors to get income tax rebate as per the prevailing Tax Laws and subject to applicable conditions.
Investment Options: The scheme offers two options- cumulative and dividend payout.
Asset Allocation: The scheme will invest upto 80%-100% in equity and equity related instruments and upto 20% in debt securities and money market instruments
The Scheme does not intend to make any investments in derivatives, ADR/GDRs/foreign Securities, and mutual fund units.
Scheme will not engaged in stock lending and will not invest in securitised debt unless as and when permitted by ELSS guidelines and clarification in this regard issued by SEBI.
Minimum Investment Amount: The minimum investment amount is Rs. 500 and in multiples of Rs. 500 thereafter.
Entry Load: The scheme will charge an entry load of 2.25% for investment less than Rs.2 crore. The scheme will not charge an entry load for investments of Rs. 2 crore and above.
Exit Load: The scheme will not charge an exit load.

Fund Manager: Anant Deep Katare will manage the fund.
