Bond yield eases by 02 bps

10-year G-sec Paper yield closes at 7.75% 

The yield on 10-year benchmark federal paper, 8.40% GS 2024, eased by 02 basis points to close at 7.75% compared with 7.77% close in the previous trading session. The total trading volume on central bank's gilts trading platform stood Rs 62,050 crore. 

Bond yield eased amid fall in oil prices. Meanwhile, the yield moved in a narrow range ahead of an auction of a new eight-year paper later in the week that is expected to drag yields lower. 

The weighted average rate in the overnight call money increased to 7.37% compared with 7.27% in previous session. The call money rate hovered in the range of 6.10% to 8.10% with the volume of Rs 12,300.50 crore.
