Bond yield rises by 01 bp

10-year G-sec Paper yield closes at 7.71% 

The yield on 10-year benchmark federal paper, 8.40% GS 2024, increased by 01 basis point to close at 7.71% compared to 7.70% at close in the previous trading session. The total trading volume on central bank's gilts trading platform stood Rs 38,235 crore. 

Bond yield increased amid caution ahead of Fed meet later in the day. 

The weighted average rate in the overnight call money eased to 7.71% compared with 7.94% in previous session. The call money rate hovered in the range of 6.00% to 8.15% with the volume of Rs 18,694.95 crore. 

The 91-Days T-Bill auction worth Rs 8,000 crore held today was fully subscribed. The cut-off was set at Rs 97.99, implying a yield of 8.23%. The 182-Days T-Bill auction worth Rs 6,000 crore held today was fully subscribed. The cut-off was set at Rs 96.10, implying a yield of 8.14%.
