Mutual funds step up buying

Net inflow of Rs 733.70 crore on 14 July 2014

Mutual funds bought shares worth a net Rs 733.70 crore on Monday, 14 July 2014, higher than net outflow of Rs 159 crore on Friday, 11 July 2014. 

The net inflow of Rs 733.70 crore on 14 July 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 1307.10 crore and gross sales of Rs 573.40 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had shed 17.37 points or 0.07% to settle at 25,006.98 on that day, its lowest closing level since 4 June 2014. 

Mutual funds have bought shares worth a net Rs 439 crore in this month so far (till 14 July 2014). Mutual funds bought shares worth a net Rs 3339.60 crore last month.
